Psychogenic Voice Disorder
This refers to loss of voluntary control of the voice as a result of psychogenic causes. These causes could be trauma responses out of accident, or deep rooted unconscious emotions.
Features:
- Voice problem but with comparatively normal vocal cords
- Voice problem outweighs the possible damage of the relatively mild vocal cord pathology
