Developmental dyspraxia is a neuro-motor disorder. Features:
- Articulation Disorders
- Better understanding than expression
- Difficulty in initiating speech
- Clumsy motor ability
- Severe ones could be seen presenting tremendous difficulty in common daily activities such as writing and tying shoelaces
- 40% misdiagnosed as autism
Traditional speech therapy focuses on oromotor skills plus articulation training has been reported to be slow, and quite ineffective. NSP enhances brain processing which facilitates motor messages send to the articulators. Positive results could usually be achieved within relative short period of time.
